The Wood Shed was established by master craftsman Gary Reish and was originally a small craft store near Truman Lake just west of Warsaw, Missouri.  At first, he worked on building crafts and bird houses at night and selling them during the day.  Today, it is a successful Super Sales Center for Carolina Carports, Inc., and also sells cabins and sheds, furniture, signs, and quality gifts and crafts.

Gary started the business after retiring from UPS as an over-the-road driver. His wife of 35 years passed away and he found himself a "one-man-team." Linda had worked in customer service for many years and after she joined the team, they've made many changes and are enjoying the Ozark life.

Tony is a gifted artist with a very talented eye for building and routing wood products. After several years in corporate life, he chose a slower paced life and settled in the beautiful Ozarks. He learned how to route signs and create furniture and has become an indispensable asset to The Wood Shed.

We work around Tony's passion for hunting and fishing, and he thinks outside the box to continually amaze and awe our customers. From a photograph, he can route a crappie, bass, deer or anything else requested. He has become an expert at building signs, coffee tables, cedar chests and other indoor or outdoor items ... just about anything Gary and Linda can think up.

He loves working with wood because every piece is unique and, therefore, everything is a one-of-a-kind. Realizing that every customer wants something a little different, he gives great attention to detail. We specialize in Missouri Red Cedar and Tony appreciates the beauty of wood.

Gary was first drawn to the area by the warmth of southern Missouri hospitality. He loved the beautiful area and mostly mild weather. The Wood Shed is a fun place to work and shop. Y'all come in and visit!
